Noble Leipzig cult cafe with elephant logo, everything fine with traditional cafe furniture.
Nice coffee house with a long tradition and a unique ambience. At certain times it is of course full, then you have to be patient. The cake, coffee, tea - everything was excellent. The service was a bit stressed.
We have been going to this cafe for a long time. Finally we got it. The atmosphere inside plunges into the past. Friendly waiters. The coffee did not make an impression. To taste like everywhere else. But the cakes are fresh and delicious. Average prices for the city. I think we'll go there again
Exquisite selection of cakes and the charm of a bygone era - this can also be felt when paying the bill, as EC card payment has not yet been possible -
Very nice ambience and atmosphere. The service is also very friendly. The beer was very tasty ?. Unfortunately we didn't eat anything, but maybe next time.
Excellent old charm coffee house, a must- to -see and experience. Cakes and coffee were excellent including the service.
Appearances are deceptive, I'm just saying. Nice coffee house with a long tradition, but where you can also relax. The double espresso was totally watery and my latte macchiato was way too hot and just not tasty. Bellyache afterwards included! There was no substitute for conventional milk (read: almond milk, oat milk, etc.) and the water was forgotten because the waitress couldn't decipher their own writing. The prices are very high, which would be fine if the quality were accordingly high. The cake is great though. At least something. A very sobering visit. Card payment is also not possible. Incidentally, mouthguards are not worn either. Not coming back anytime soon. It's a shame, as the ambience and the location are very great.
Very nice coffee house. Friendly staff. Good selection of cakes.
Nice cafe with great coffee and amazing hot chocolate. A little more expensive but worth the price. The fifth star is due to the really nice service.
Operation without a face mask! Uncomfortable chairs. The cappuccino was lousy. I felt very uncomfortable. Not recommendable. That doesn't make up for the nice facade.
No card payment possible. And that in times when non-contact payment is desired. Cake tasty but a bit too small. My jug of water was only half full. Kellerin nice. Still not coming back. Card payment should be standard today.
Nice place but the staff was very unfriendly
Always very happy. An absolute classic in the city for a successful day to relax and enjoy. I can only recommend a highlight.
Very nice coffee house to sit and chill. Rustic in oak is worth a visit.
Coffee house with a lot of swarm, various cafes and fine pastries. Of course, the courteous, nice service should also be mentioned. Gladly again.
Was ok but not very special
Excellent coffee in a unique ambience, with stylistic furnishings from the previous century. Unfortunately very full at the appropriate times and the staff accordingly stressed and a bit harsh. Coffee and cake arrived quickly and were also very tasty. Prices are okay.
Beautiful interior, very good cake, average coffee, average service, no possibility to pay by card. In 2020. Overall it's easy to find a better cafe.
Nice interior decoration. Food is very average, wait staff were abrupt and overly curt, and we weren't allowed pay by card. Major letdown
Very nice place, where you can have a good cup of coffee accompanied by a good piece of cake. Very nice staff. The only downside is that they don't accept credit cards
Yummy cake. Operation a bit snappy. Traditional house.
The Café Riquet is located in the central city of Leipzig and is very inviting due to its open, dark wood-like and sometimes also rustic ambience. The friendly and courteous wait staff, as well as the fresh and delicious food that is served after a short time, contribute significantly to the fact that the restaurant is in my shortlist in Leipzig. However, it should be mentioned that the table, which is too small (especially for 4 people) is very annoying if you take the French breakfast twice, for example. Then there is not enough space to cut the bread, for example. It should also be mentioned that it bothers me very much that the smoking guests do not consider their fellow human beings, which however does not influence this rating. I also think that the restaurant does a lot right, but also has a lot of unused potential. The food was not outstanding, but it did what you would expect for this price. All in all a successful visit to the centrally located, recommendable restaurant.
Very nice atmosphere to have a coffee. Just stunning.
Nostalgia & enjoyment! At the top, the Wiener Café is accessible by stairs. In the Riquet it is difficult to get a large table without a reservation, we were lucky: it is cozy and everything is delicious and freshly prepared. Unmistakably outside on the 2 elephant heads above the door!
It's a nice and cozy place to get some breakfast. The staff are friendly. The place was clean and well maintained. The food was quite delicious as well. I would definitely come here again.
I was expecting a lot more from this place, my dish was burned from some parts, was expensive, took a lot of time, and didn't taste so good.
Good hot drinks and lovely totre. Pricing very reasonable and staff friendly.
Expensive and busy coffee house in the centre of Leipzig with a variety of - not too exciting commodity - coffee options. For convenience and since it's longer opening hour it can be a reasonable choice. The apfelstrudel supposedly is good, but they don't have vegan cake options.
Beautiful old world coffee house, with delicious desserts!
Lovely place
Friendly service, tasty coffee, I had potato soup which I would not recommend. Cakes looks great!
Great service and great atmosphere
An authentic, nice coffeehouse in a historical building. It has a nice scenery but cakes and pasteries are mediocre. Be prepared to pay cash, they don't accept credit cards.
Bad service, Orders were mixed up and waitress was very rude.
Terrible, terrible overburnt robusta coffee. Prices was too high as well. The only savior is the historical charms of the building. Would not recommend.
Loved the historical aspect, ambience, cakes, coffee and location
Top
Great atmosphere, lights, and furniture. We took a couple of cakes and 2 different hot chocolates.. all super tasty. Highly recommended.
The location is the only thing positive about this place. We waited 30 minutes for our breakfast to come, it was already cold when it arrived. The coffee was also not really good.
Nice old fashioned
Very old school German. Food was ok. Coffee only with cow milk.
I loved my coffee and cake. I love this building's unique architecture, so a fun building.
Wouldn’t open another table for a party of four
Nice coffee house with a lot of history. A little overpriced which is expected, however overall pretty good. Service is a little wanting with not enough servers, especially on a busy weekend and also not enough space to accommodate, so you may have a little wait. Recommend for the experience and if you are willing to pay a bit more good coffee.
Great ambiance. Coffee is so so.
The space is very nice and worth a visit. Coffee comes out of a machine and is just okay. Slightly older demographic.
Interesting place, nice staff, however coffee for the price was very weak...
historical and a look is classic but the coffee comes out of WMF machine. so I hope someone visit there for coffee, do not expect too high. but cakes are good
Beautiful cafe in a centric location. The waitress with red hair was really friendly. Cakes are ok and cappuccino was terrible. You just pay for the scenery
Good service nice breakfast and soft drinks
